Draft constitutional bill that proposes amendments to articles 102, 104, and 105 of the Italian Constitution, which govern the autonomy and organisation of the judiciary, was proposed. In this connection, considering that the proposed amendments to the Italian Constitution provide an opportunity to strengthen human rights protection, I would like to provide some analysis from the perspective of international human rights standards on the independence of the judiciary.
