Information received concerning the forced eviction and home demolitions in the Kibos community, an informal settlement in Kisumu county, Kenya. The forced eviction reportedly rendered over 3,500 people homeless, defied court orders of the Environment and Land Court of Kisumu resulting in a prima facie violation of the right to adequate housing and other human rights. Affected residents reportedly belong overwhelmingly to the Nubian minority in Kenya.
