Information received concerning serious risks posed to the enjoyment of human rights of a significant number of persons affected by Hansen’s disease in Brazil, known globally as leprosy, including the non-availability of multi-drug therapy (MDT) since August 2020 and the barriers to accessing health care and sanitation. Furthermore, a large number of persons affected by Hansen’s disease are excluded from a COVID-19 relief allowance.
