 Information received concerning the case of prolonged detention of nine Tibetans from Ngawa (Aba), in Sichuan province, who, in December 2016, were sentenced to prison for their participation in celebrations for the Dalai Lama’s 80th birthday in 2015, and their advocacy for the cultural and religious rights of the Tibetan minority in China.
