Alleged cases of acute lead poisoning. According to the information received, nearly 400 children have died since March 2010 as a result of lead poisoning, the majority of them at under 5 years of age. Allegedly, an additional 30,000 people in 7 villages in Zamfara State had been identified as being at risk of lead exposure by inhalation or ingestion.
