Information received concerning the alleged arbitrary invalidation of passports of eight Belarusian citizens: Mr. Ales Bialiatski, Mr. Uladzimir Labkovich, Mr. Maksim Senik, Mr. Pavel Nikitsenka, Ms. Hanna Kurys, Mr. Dzmitry Kazlou, Mr. Aliaksei Krasnahir and Mr. Ihar Satsiuk, who were all recognized by Belarusian human rights defenders as political prisoners and who were all forcibly expelled from the territory of Belarus to Lithuania and Ukraine on 13 December 2025 after they had been released from detention. We would also like to once again bring your attention to the situation of Mr. Leanid Sudalenka, a Belarusian human rights defender who is currently forced to live in exile due to his 2024 in absentia conviction under “special proceedings” (article 468-27 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Belarus) and three new criminal cases for “extremist” offences initiated against him in May 2025, as well as regarding the lasting human rights violations experienced by him, including his inability to reunite with his family in Belarus.
Alleged victims: 9
